Privacy policy
Draft — not yet reviewed. This page describes how the site currently works and is a starting point, not a finished legal document. It has not been reviewed by an Ontario lawyer, and the company details in it are placeholders. It must be reviewed and completed before this site accepts real customer information.
What we collect, and when
When you book an estimate. The booking form asks what you are replacing and roughly when, then your name, contact details and the address of the property. The property address is asked at the second step rather than the first, because you should be able to start the process without handing over where you live.
When you sign in to the customer account. Your email address or mobile number, to send you a sign-in code. The account holds your appointments, your quote and any documents you have signed.
Automatically. Standard web server logs — IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps. This site does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.
Why we collect it
To quote your project, schedule the work, produce your contract, prepare rebate documentation, and provide warranty service afterwards. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except suppliers and service providers who need it to deliver your project.
How long we keep it
Project records are kept for the life of the warranty — 25 years — because warranty and transfer claims depend on them. Ontario consumer protection law separately requires retention of direct agreement records. Enquiries that do not become projects are kept for a much shorter period.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask that errors be corrected, and withdraw consent to marketing contact at any time. Write to hello@sightlinewd.ca or call 548-800-8273.
