About

We publish the prices because the alternative is worse for everyone.

The standard way to buy windows in Ontario is to fill in a form, wait for a call, and give up an evening to a presentation that ends with a discount which expires when the salesperson leaves. We think that process exists to prevent comparison, and we have built the company around not needing it.

What that costs us, honestly

Publishing per-opening pricing means we lose jobs to companies quoting a lower headline number that does not include capping, trim, disposal or an installation warranty. We also lose the negotiating position that comes from being the only person in the room who knows what things cost.

What we get back is that people who call us have already decided the price is reasonable. The conversation starts at whether the work is right rather than at what it costs.

The commitments, and why each one exists

We do not subcontract installation

Subcontracted crews are paid per opening, which rewards speed over the parts of the job nobody can see — the insulation, the sill seal, the flashing. Our installers are employed, the lead installer is named on your quote before you sign, and the same crew returns for warranty work. That last part only works if they still work here.

The price does not change after remeasure

Ontario law permits a final price up to 10% above a written estimate. We do not use that allowance. If the technical remeasure finds we measured wrong, that is our error and we absorb it. A remeasure that can raise the price is an incentive to quote low.

The install date is in the contract

Not an estimate, not a window of weeks. If we miss it for a reason inside our control we credit $250 per day against your balance. A date with a penalty attached is a date; a date without one is a hope.

No reviews on this website

You will not find testimonials here. Reviews written by the company that benefits from them are worth nothing, and this industry has a real problem with fabricated ones — including competitors publishing the same review text under several different names. When our Google Business Profile feed is connected, it will appear here live and unedited, including the bad ones. Until then, this section stays empty rather than filled with something we wrote ourselves.

How a project runs

  1. Estimate. A 45-minute visit. Every opening is measured and photographed and the installation method is confirmed on the spot. A written quote follows within one business day and holds for 30 days.
  2. Technical remeasure. Within five business days of signing. The price does not change at this stage; a measurement error is absorbed by Sightline.
  3. Fabrication. Three to five weeks for standard windows, five to seven for bay, bow and custom colour. Built in Ontario.
  4. Installation. One to three days on site for a whole home, half a day for a single opening. The date is in the signed contract. If Sightline misses it for a reason within its control, the customer is credited $250 per day against the balance.
  5. Service. Warranty work booked from the customer account for 25 years.
