Why this industry has the reputation it has

You already know how the estimate is supposed to go.

A rep books two hours and stays four. There is a laminated presentation. There is a “manager” phone call. The number starts at $38,000 and lands at $19,000 if you sign tonight.

None of that is selling. It is a negotiation you did not agree to, run by someone who knows the number and will not tell you.

  • A price that only exists if you sign before the rep leaves
  • A quote that moves after the technical measure
  • An install date that slips from April to July
  • A crew you have never met, hired that morning
  • Nobody returning the call when you only need one window
  • Rebate eligibility described as “we’ll look into it”
What we do instead

Every number you need is on this website.

Per-opening pricing by window type. What brick-to-brick adds. What a bay unit really costs. Read it, work out roughly where your project lands, and then decide whether you want us in your house at all.

Published pricing

Our per-opening ranges are on the pricing page, not locked behind a form. The estimate confirms which end of the range your openings fall in and why.

A date, in the contract

Your install week is written into the agreement before you sign. Miss it for a reason inside our control and we credit $250 a day against the balance.

Our crews, named

No subcontractors. The lead installer is named on your quote, and the same crew comes back for warranty service years later.

One 45-minute visit

We measure, photograph the openings, confirm retrofit or brick-to-brick, and leave. The written quote reaches you within one business day.

Rebates prepared for you

We confirm your eligibility under the Home Renovation Savings Program during the estimate and assemble the spec sheets and invoices your application needs.

Everything in your account

Quote, appointments, install date, signed contract and warranty registration all live in your Sightline account. Nothing lives only in someone’s inbox.

Ontario rebates & financing

Money that is already yours, if the paperwork is right.

Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program pays rebates on ENERGY STAR certified windows and doors, and Enbridge Gas customers can stack additional incentives on top. Programs change through the year and eligibility depends on your utility, your home and the product you choose.

We confirm your eligibility during the estimate, choose product that qualifies, and assemble the spec sheets and invoices your application needs. You submit; we hand you the file.

Home Renovation Savings Program

Per-window and per-door rebates on ENERGY STAR certified units for homeowners with a participating Ontario utility.

Financing

Terms from 12 to 120 months through our lending partner, with the monthly payment shown on the quote before you sign. Approval does not affect the price.

Answers

The questions people actually ask.

Each answer leads with the answer. No preamble, no “it depends” before the number.

How much does it cost to replace a window here?

Between $900 and $1,750 per opening, supplied and installed, for a standard-size ENERGY STAR triple-pane unit in 2026.

Sliders and fixed units sit at the low end, casements and hung windows in the middle. Bay and bow run $3,400 to $6,500 because they need a head board, a seat board and their own roof. Brick-to-brick adds $250 to $450 per opening over a retrofit.

Retrofit or brick-to-brick — which do I need?

Retrofit if your existing frame is sound. Brick-to-brick if it is rotted, water-damaged, or if you want back the glass area a retrofit gives up.

Retrofit leaves the old frame in the wall and fits the new unit inside it, which is faster and cheaper but costs you an inch or two of glass on each dimension. Brick-to-brick strips the opening back to masonry. We tell you which one your openings need during the estimate, in front of you, and we do not upsell brick-to-brick on a frame that does not need it.

Do you subcontract the installation?

No. Every install is done by Sightline employees.

The lead installer’s name is printed on your quote before you sign it, and the same crew comes back for warranty service. If we ever cannot staff your date with our own people, we move the date rather than hire it out, and the $250-a-day credit applies.

What rebates can I get in Ontario in 2026?

Ontario’s Home Renovation Savings Program pays per-window and per-door rebates on ENERGY STAR certified units, and Enbridge Gas customers can stack additional incentives.

Amounts and eligibility shift through the year and depend on your utility and your home. We confirm your current eligibility during the estimate and prepare the documentation package. We do not quote a rebate figure we have not verified for your address.

Will you replace just one window?

Yes, at the same published rates, with no minimum and no small-job surcharge.

Single-opening jobs are usually a half day. They are also how most of our whole-home projects start, so we would rather do yours well than turn it down.

What exactly does the 25-year warranty cover?

The vinyl, the sealed glass unit, the hardware and our installation, for 25 years, non-prorated.

It transfers to the next owner of the home at no charge if the transfer is registered within 30 days of closing. Factory-applied exterior colour finishes carry a 10-year term. Screens and glass breakage from impact are not covered, and we say so here rather than in a footnote you find in year three.
